Police have today revealed the latest letter sent to them by Bear Killer The Ripper.
It seems the hunt is at an end can you find The Ripper so the people of Bearchapel can sleep in their beds at night???

New Victim Found

Reports are coming in that another poor unfortunate has met her maker at the hands of The Ripper. Detective Peter Underhill has provided an artists impression of the horrific scene.



The whole BTB population is now on the look out for the Ripper with many already solving his first clue from the last weeks "Dear Boss" letter.

"Dear Boss" Ripper Letter


Police in Bearchapel have released what is thought to be a letter written by the so called “Ripper”. Now known as the “Dear Boss” letter the piece seems to taunt the police for their lack of progress in the case.

It was received by Detective Underhill this morning, in a statement he has said “we are releasing this information so that we can have as many eyes possible looking out for this maniac… We need the help of the whole Bearchapel BTB community to help us with this one..

The letter includes clues to a promised reward for anyone that solves the Rippers riddle.

The hunt for the Ripper is on……

Bad Taste Bears Convention November 2010

We’re delighted to confirm that we will be holding a special BTB Convention in Peter Underhill’s home town of Hinckley, Leicestershire on Saturday 20th November.

We’re inviting you to join us at the Creative Hinckley Gallery between 5pm and 8pm for a special BTB evening. On arrival you will be offered a glass of bubbly and there will also be a small selection of canapés available.

*Pete’s Gallery - Pete is putting together some key pieces of BTB artwork from the past 10 years ready to exhibit and display. There are sure to be many hidden gems as well as the chance to show off some classics in a fabulous Gallery.

*2011 Preview - This is your chance to get the low down on everything Bad Taste Bear for 2011. Presented by a BTB panel including creator Peter Underhill and Oddco’s Paul Kell, you will be the first to see the exciting developments we have in store for the BTB range next year.

*Q&A – As well a preview of 2011, the panel will also be holding a question and answer session. If you have a burning BTB question you have always wanted to know the answer to then this will be the time to ask.

*Red Hot Evan & Elle – pick up your Limited Edition “Red Hot” Evan and Elle Convention bear, of which there are only 200 worldwide. This special piece is a variation of the standard Evan and Elle figurine which is due to be released on general sale after the Convention (date to be confirmed).


*Giant Death – you will also be able to collect your giant Death Statuette, of which there are only 150 worldwide. Standing at and impressive 18″ this is a bear not to be missed!!

Tickets – there are only 150 places availableat this exclusive convention, so tickets will be restricted to 2 per member. These are due to be released on Wednesday 15th September at 6:30pm on the Online Store.
The price is £45 per person which includes your exclusive Limited Edition “Red Hot” Evan and Elle Convention bear.

On purchasing your ticket you will also be able to order a Giant 18” Death Statuette, restricted to 1 per ticket. There will be 2 payment options – pay £125 in full or pay a deposit of £65 with the balance due before 31st October. If you choose the instalment options you will be responsible for contacting us to pay the balance of £60. Failure to do so will result in you loosing the bear and your deposit.

You MUST attend the Gallery to collect these convention pieces. You will receive reservation tickets which you must present on the night to receive your bears.
Some stock of both Convention pieces will also be available at co-ordinating German and Austrian gatherings. Availability of any unsold bears will be reviewed after the event.
